What is electro-acupuncture?
Electro-acupuncture is a modern technique that combines traditional acupuncture with gentle electrical stimulation. Small clips are attached to the acupuncture needles to deliver a mild, controlled pulse that enhances the effect of the treatment. Most patients feel a light tapping, pulsing, or vibrating sensation that is comfortable and relaxing.
This method is often used to help reduce pain, improve muscle function, increase circulation, and support the nervous system. Electro-acupuncture can be especially helpful for chronic pain, muscle tension, nerve irritation, and injuries that have not fully responded to other treatments.
The electrical stimulation allows for a stronger and more consistent activation of the acupuncture points, which can help the body relax, decrease inflammation, and promote healing more efficiently.
Electro-acupuncture is safe, adjustable to each patient’s comfort level, and is only used when appropriate for the individual condition being treated.
